Outcome

This page answers the owner question: should this channel scale?

We connect the channel to booked jobs, tracking, lead quality, sales handoff, and economics. That helps avoid putting more budget into a channel that is not ready to grow.

How we run it

The real process from the inside — not marketing fluff.

01

Before a single dollar is spent

We check that conversions actually fire inside Google Ads and that dynamic call tracking is in place — most home service niches are call-driven, so without it you're optimizing blind. Then we build the economics: how many jobs your crews can run at once (two crews on two-week jobs need about four booked at a time), backed into how many leads that takes at your lead-to-sale rate, and from there into the budget.

02

Budget and campaign type follow the math

The volume target decides the campaign type. If you need roughly four jobs, a Search campaign will find them — the intent is already there. If you need forty, Search alone won't carry it: we add Performance Max, YouTube, or Display to capture and partly create demand, or bring in a second channel like Local Services Ads or Meta. It's easier to hit big volume across two sources — which is exactly why two traffic sources are included in the plan.

03

Week one is hands-on

We launch on working tracking and watch the account every two to three hours, reading every search term that triggered an impression and adding negatives fast so money doesn't leak into queries that will never convert.

04

Letting the algorithm learn — without feeding it junk

We balance fast fixes against giving Smart Bidding room to learn. Google quotes about five days; in practice it's up to two weeks, and the more data the faster it stabilizes. Fixing lead quality resets that learning, so the first month to month-and-a-half — sometimes two — goes into stabilizing exactly which audience we attract.

05

Then we keep pushing

Even when the unit economics are already green for the business, we keep driving every target metric down — cost per lead, cost per converted lead, cost per booked job — using the qualification data we feed back into Google Ads.

Marketing Agency vs In-House Marketer for Home Services

Hiring a full-time marketer looks like control, but the loaded cost runs well past the salary — and one person can't be expert in SEO, Google Ads, LSA, tracking, web, and content at once. Here's the true cost of in-house, what an agency actually trades (including lock-in and who owns your accounts), the freelancer route, when each fits, the hybrid most owners land on, and the one number that should decide it: cost per booked job, not headcount.

Anatomy of Ad Rank in 2026: What Actually Determines Your Real CPC in Google Ads

You do not pay what you bid in Google Ads. You pay the minimum amount necessary to beat the Ad Rank of the competitor directly below you. Understanding the mechanics of Ad Rank—Expected CTR, Ad Relevance, Landing Page Experience, and Ad Assets—is the single most reliable way to cut your CPC in half without losing top position.

What Google Ads Really Costs an Appliance Repair Business

We measured an entire metro's appliance repair demand through the Google Ads API — every phrase, every bid, residential and commercial. Clicks run about $7. But the two numbers most owners start from are wrong by 4x and 3x respectively, and nearly half of all searches name a brand that almost no repair site has a page for.

AI Essentials in Search: Why Broad Match + Smart Bidding is a Unified System (When Done Right)

Historically, broad match was the fastest way to burn an ad budget on DIYers and student queries. In 2026, paired with Smart Bidding, semantic embeddings, and negative keyword governance, it captures intent variations exact match never sees. Here is how Google's AI Essentials framework actually works in the real world.

Human Sets Business Truth, AI Runs the Auction: Why Smart Bidding Fails Without Unit Economics

Google's Smart Bidding evaluates millions of signals per auction in milliseconds, but it is mathematically blind to your business reality. If your conversion tracking counts $100 service calls the same as $10,000 installs, the algorithm will aggressively buy the cheapest low-margin leads. Here is how to feed Google Ads your real business truth.

Cleaning Services Paid Acquisition: Why Recurring Clients, Not Cheap Leads, Are the Goal

Cleaning economics run on recurring work — a weekly client is worth many times a single move-out clean — so paid acquisition that only optimizes for cheap first-clean leads misses where the actual profit sits. Here's the channel mix, the staffing bottleneck most cleaning companies underrate, and a real Honolulu case study that took blended cost per lead from $31 to $17 in ten weeks.
